Parental Contribution Service A Right First Time UK service

SIMPLE PCS COST

PCS Cost & Access

PCS access costs £10 per participating parent for 12 months. This is a service-access payment to Right First Time UK Ltd and is completely separate from any parent-to-parent child contribution.

New-parent payment protection: PCS does not ask a new parent to pay at account-creation or invitation stage. The £10 checkout is opened only after the two parent accounts have been linked by an accepted PCS invitation.
No maintenance money goes through this membership checkout. The £10 is paid to RFTUK for PCS access. Child contributions continue to move directly between the parents.

How the £10 payment works

  1. Create/sign in to your PCS account and link it to the other parent through an accepted PCS invitation. No fee is taken before that link exists.
  2. Once both parent accounts are linked, each parent can start the £10 annual checkout from their own signed-in account.
  3. The payment provider hosts the card/payment page; PCS should not collect or store your full card number or CVV.
  4. PCS only activates or renews access after the provider reports a successful completed £10 GBP order and the server verifies it.
  5. Paid access runs for 12 months. After expiry, PCS allows a 10-calendar-day access grace before the account becomes expired.
  6. Renewal is not automatic under this version. You choose when to renew.

What the £10 yearly cost gives you access to

The annual PCS cost provides access to the parent portal, agreement tools, payment records and private parent communication features where enabled. The public calculator and public information can remain available without treating the calculator result as an obligation.

The £10 PCS cost is not child maintenance. It must never be counted as money paid to the other parent for the child.

Fee and policy changes

The current standard fee is £10 per parent for 12 months. RFTUK may review PCS fees and service terms after the relevant fee or term has been in force for at least 6 months.

Any planned fee increase or material service-policy change will be notified to the registered PCS email address. The notice will state the effective date. A fee increase will not retrospectively change the price already paid for the remainder of an existing 12-month paid period; it will normally apply to a renewal or other charge falling on or after the notified effective date. Changes remain subject to applicable law and statutory consumer rights.
